Review on Shots.

Before finalising the movie as a group we had decided that although the shots were good, variety of angles in the shot was lacking. Although a middle length shot is fine it made the opening of our movie mediocre.
We needed different angles of our shot as a representation of what was happening, for example:.
In order to build the tension of the Character (Taylor) feels like she is being watched, the shot should not be from a distance, a close up shot allows us to see the expression displayed on her face which then allows the viewer to understand what the character is feeling and contemplate what is following her or what is going to happen next. An angle of shot is a key convention of a psychological thriller that gets our viewer on the edge of the seat.
The psychological genre aspect plays a big role on the way our angles of shots are being displayed. If the characted is feeling psychologically disorientated then the shots should be quick and cut or slow and blurry depending on the feeling of the character. This is why we have decided to overview the shots that we are using and also with the 'split clip' we can have elements of the shot reverse shot to build up the tension but also give us a variety of different perspective our main character can be shown too for the viewer.
